Upcoming Webinar: How an MVNO Troubleshoots Cellular Devices

Robert Colvin from Telenor Connexion joins Golioth for a webinar coming up July 2nd, 2025. We will talk about how to troubleshoot cellular deployments and how you can apply some of the lessons learned to your own product.

tinymcp: Unlocking the Physical World for LLMs with MCP and Microcontrollers

Today we are launching tinymcp, a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and framework that enables any connected device to expose remote functionality to Large Language Models (LLMs).

Use the ESP32 AT Binary to Make Any Zephyr Project Wi-Fi Enabled

You can add Wi-Fi to any Zephyr project with an ESP32 running the ESP-AT firmware and a couple of configuration symbols in Zephyr. Let the data flow!

The ESP32 HCI makes any Zephyr board a Bluetooth gateway

Bluetooth HCI enables any chipset to act as a peripheral to a processor running a Bluetooth stack. We pair the ESP32-C3 HCI with a processor running Zephyr to turn Golioth's development platform--the Aludel Elixir--into a Bluetooth gateway.

A Remote Shell for Embedded IoT Devices

Golioth's Remote Shell uses Remote Procedure Calls (RPCs) and a custom Zephyr shell backend to enable an interactive, web-based shell experience from anywhere in the world.

Never miss a packet with Pipeline Recommendations

Pipeline Recommendations intelligently scans incoming data to your product and recommends stelps to ensure you never miss a packet. Check out how you can improve your product with this new feature on the Golioth Console.

Detecting Text From Images Over A Cellular Link

This post and video demonstrate taking a photo with a low power camera and cellular-based microcontroller and transmitting to the cloud for processing. Rick Jen from the Microsoft Azure team shows how to accept those images and work with the Azure AI OCR service to extract useful text and store it in a database.

OTA: Working with Multiple Images

OTA usually makes people think of updating firmware. But OTA also covers many of other applications, like distributing new machine learning models, UI image assets, or firmware updates for other "downstream" processors. Golioth has the flexibility to support all these use cases. Here's how to use the power of the Golioth OTA service when you need to deploy more than just one binary.

Using the NXP FRDM-RW612 with Golioth

The new NXP FRDM-RW612 board comes with built-in Ethernet, and a tri-band radio. We were able to get it up and running all of the Golioth Firmware SDK sample applications in just a few hours. Here's what goes into the process.
